Earth Camp at Buffalo Cove
Earth Awareness Ritual Traditions and Heritage
EARTH Camp is a tradition that began many years ago at a place called Silver Water, located in the high elevation Appalachians near Todd, North Carolina. The primary goal of EARTH Camp is to teach children how to live close to the Earth through using a wide range of earth skills and outdoor activities that promote connection and awareness. When EARTH Camp's home at Silver Water was no longer available, Buffalo Cove offered to bring EARTH Camp to the Buffalo Cove valley and keep the tradition going-with some new ideas in a new home!
EARTH Camp is a 2 week program that takes place during the summer months. Participants range in age from 12-17 and come from all over the country. While at camp participants will spend time in camp doing a wide range of activities as well as time out of camp on adventures participating in life-lasting learning experiences.
